The Why!

I recently left a job I truly cherished to become a stay-at-home mom. It was one of the hardest decisions I've made. I loved being a teacher, I adored my coworkers, and I deeply cared for my students. There have been times this summer when I've doubted this choice.

Then there's this picture. I returned home from a farmer's market that didn't go as planned. I was exhausted from preparing and then standing all day, trying to sell the baked goods I made. When I walked into the house, I was welcomed by this man who sacrifices so much for our family, holding the reason I stepped away from teaching for a while.

I believe God will bless the decision to stay home. It's the right choice for us at this moment. It's time to embrace a simpler, slower pace. These sweet moments between a dad and his son only confirm that God has called us to this time.

We prayed for so long for moments like these! Today, I am going to simply savor these moments and let tomorrow be just that... tomorrow.
