The Magic of the Wooden Spoon
This might sound a bit odd, but I've always been attracted to wooden spoons in antique shops. Rarely do I resist buying one. As the saying goes, "they don't make 'em like they used to." It's such a simple tool, yet strong and durable. Perhaps that's why I'm so drawn to them. I view their qualities as the essence of a well-lived life. Combine the right ingredients, a bit of time, and a lot of love, and you've crafted the perfect recipe... all with a simple wooden spoon.
Most of the recipes I regularly prepare are stirred with a wooden spoon. Sourdough... dough stirred with a wooden spoon. Pralines... pecan candy stirred with a wooden spoon. Cookie dough (any flavor)... mixed with a wooden spoon. I use them every day to create dishes that are simple but delicious.
As the saying goes, "it's the simple things in life." So today, grab the wooden spoon and create something simple and beautiful. Just add the right ingredients, a little time, and a lot of love.
